Basic Yoga Postures

Basic Yoga postures come in two parts; the beginner’s basic Yoga postures, and the advanced basic Yoga postures. We will set forth some of the beginner’s basic Yoga postures but before you start using any of these postures be sure that you understand that if you are tired. or they are too difficult, do not continue them. The purpose of Yoga is to help you to be more flexible and to give you more strength. Yoga clears all blockages and promotes natural health as well as peace and balance. It improves your coordination and energy and assists in better and more focused concentration. Some of the basic Yoga postures are: Butterfly posture – In a sitting position with your back straight, put the soles of your feet together. Hold your toes with your fingers and pull the heels of your feet toward you. You should feel a gentle stretching in the area of the groin. With your elbows, push down on your thighs and your calves. Hold this position for five minutes. Cat-Cow postures are for emotional balance. For the cow posture get down on the floor on all fours, with your arms under your shoulders and your knees under your hips.
